Bears to sign Pro Bowl DT Grady Jarrett: Report

The Bears are making another big move along their defensive line.

The Bears are signing former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Grady Jarrett to a three-year, $43.5 million deal, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday.

Jarrett, 31, spent 10 seasons with the Falcons, making two Pro Bowls in 2019 and 2020. He was released by Atlanta the same day he ended up signing with Chicago, tallying 36.5 sacks and 77 tackles for a loss during his time.

2024 was a down year for Jarrett, as he finished with a PFF grade of 62.1, the worst of his career to this point. However, he did tally a respectable 21 quarterback hurries and 34 pressures at defensive tackle with 9 tackles for a loss. In his previous two seasons for the Falcons, Jarrett graded above 70.0 by PFF both times.

This marks the second big defensive line signing the Bears have made since the start of the early negotiation window, as they signed defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo to a three-year deal on Monday. Odeyingbo and Jarrett join the likes of Montez Sweat, Gervon Dexter, Andrew Billings and Austin Booker.
