The Octagon returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY with UFC 309. The heavyweight title bout between reigning champion Jon Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico and former champion Stipe Miocic of Euclid, Ohio headlines the fight card.

The event is also set to see a rematch between former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira of Brazil and Michael Chandler of High Ridge, MO. Among other bouts, Bo Nickal of Rifle, CO takes on Paul Craig of Scotland at middleweight. Former 185-pound champion Chris Weidman of Baldwin, NY faces off Eryk Anders of the Philippines in another middleweight contest.

Also on the card, Karine Silva takes on Viviane Araujo in an all-Brazilian bout at women’s flyweight. Nikita Krylov of Ukraine meets Azamat Murzakanov at light heavyweight. Plus, Veronica Hardy of Venezuela goes up against Eduarda Moura of Brazil at women’s flyweight.

After some deliberation from Team Makhachev, it would seem a deal is being finalized, with Topuria announcing his camp has begun.
